Benda dah ada

Image
Yang penting sekarang penguatkuasaan... Clothes, food, cooking utensils, arts and craft, medical. Mama, Sofia, and Papa. Anyway... This time around we got Iz's palm to join in. Usually it's just Sofia and I. Will this piece of art make it to the wall of our new home? I kept on making arts to frame, but somehow I kept on losing them pulak. Well, we'll see.

Entering the #duckcolouringchallenge

Image
Hello! Genap sebulan PKP harini... Malaysia started imposing the Movement Control Order (MCO) on 18th March 2020.  Among other things I did during this MCO, was joining competitions online. I entered a tag and win giveaway by @fashionvaletcom . Didn't won anything... Wasn't that lucky. Honestly, I rarely win things like that. Lucky draw? Never lucky. I also entered the #duckcolouringchallenge by @theduckgroup. The challenge was up to 7 days but I only entered for 3 days; a day gap in between for Netflix. Hahaha. And oh. Also because I was confident I would win the Day 6 challenge HAHAHA! ANYWAY.... Here I am sharing all my artwork. And also Sofia's... Because she saw me colouring in... Oh by the way, I didn't use any special app. Just that I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 , and there are functions of colouring in using pen, marker, highlights etc. I also had my sister in law to upload it for me because I didn't want to change my Instagram to pu...

Cool app for pregnancy and babies: Baby Story Camera

Image
I found a very cool app that can edit Sofia's pictures easily! The thing is, I've gotten into a habit of taking pictures of Sofia every month. Okay scratch that out. I took pictures of Sofia almost every day. Every. Single. Day. And her progress too... First time tengok bunga, first time pandai main, first time naik kereta, first time naik kereta duduk dalam car seat, first time naik kereta pergi KL, first time naik kereta pergi Ipoh... A WHOLE LOT OF FIRSTS! So I found this cool app with a lot of cute stickers that can be used to edit those pictures. Starting from when the baby is just a few days old until he/ she reached years of age! BABY STORY CAMERA I downloaded it from Google Play Store for free! But there are a lot of advertisement... Tak kisahla kan. Heh. See? A lot of cute stickers! Dari mengandung sampailah beranak, hah. The only downside is if you made a mistake, you can't go one step back. It will erase the whole thing... ...

Keeping memories

Image
Sofia's pictures (and videos) took up a whole lot of space in my phone! Although I already had them all backed up in Google Photos, but still sayang to delete them from my phone. And honestly, I'm a bit paranoid of storing pictures online. I'm afraid I might forgot the password, or even my username. Hahaha... Yes I uploaded a lot of pictures on Instagram... Until one day Iz's friend told him, your wife uploaded a lot of pictures of your baby eh. Baby sihat? Coz Iz didn't have Instagram, so basically his friends would tag me to get him.  I've been thinking of tagging Sofia's pictures with #nurkhairahsofia; I searched and so far there isn't any similar tags, but I didn't quite like the idea of having to see Sofia's pictures on screen. Okay senang cerita I'm the ol' skool type. Nak printed. Really keen on photobook, but felt like a bit of a waste to order now as Sofia is only nearing 3 months. Plus I'm not used to getting ...

Solid granny squares

Image
Already crochet 7 solid granny squares. The colour combination is okay, I think. Not too girly... Hahah. Thinking of making a blanket but I doubt myself. Either I stopped halfway or simply turn it into a pillow case (which needed less squares).

Starting a new project: solid granny squares

Image
Solid granny squares It's always exciting to start a new project. But the thing about starting a new project is, sometimes along the way you might change your mind and decide to make it into something else.  That's my main problem when doing crochet. I'm planning to make a pillowcase for our new home, but now looking at the colours, I think it might look nice as a baby blanket too. Let's see what this finally turns out to be.

African flower backpack for the lil' one (how to)

Image
African flower granny backpack This bag is one of the many unfinished crochet projects I had. All 23 hexagons (24 including the base) were stitched together to form a bag and left just like that. I didn't complete it as it turned out to be so small I didn't know what to do with it.  I finally decided to turn it into a backpack for my baby. You can make even bigger bags using this simple pattern. The bigger you want your bag to be, the more hexagons you have to do. Here's the pattern. African flower hexagon pattern (Google) I'd like to maintain the shape of my bag so I made a bag lining. This way I can avoid the bag from over stretching. The vinyl cords will be used to pull close the bag. As for the STRAPS. I bought a matching vinyl tape. Sew it between the lining and the crochet bag. I didn't use a sewing machine for this as I'm afraid the wool might get stuck... Haha. I wanted ADJUSTABLE straps. So that it can ...

Volunteering for MYCAT at Zoo Negara

Image
Well so yesterday I managed to drive all by myself alone to KUALA LUMPUR oh yeahhhh! Alhamdulillah... First, mum trusted me. Second, I got the wrong Cheras junction but I made sure mum didn't know. Third, I didn't turn on the radio at all. Pergi balik zikir all the way. Sebab takut sesat dan eksiden. Berguna. Ya, betul berguna. Zikir. Truth is, I really wanted to take public transport so I have time to write my 2015 resolutions while in the train. *********** I was happy. Very happy to be at the zoo. A lot of things has changed. The Education Department Office is no longer at the very end, it is now in the same building with the Customer Service Department. Went to the guard house, parked at the staff parking lot. Heh. Heh. I am afterall a volunteer... I assured myself. I was all ready to walk to the ol' Edu office but then I was stopped by En. Amin. Then I noticed the signage. Ohh... The dusty ol' library is now the office. Told him I did my interns...
