Dadih mangga dengan cebisan mangga

Image
Dengan menggunakan serbuk dadih segera perisa mangga, senang je. Just follow the recipe on the packaging. Hahaha. Mine was using Nona, 130 g. Except instead of 1500 ml of water, I added another 100 ml totalling up to 1600 ml. Because I read up if you added more water, your dadih will be softer. Tapi tak berani tambah banyak-banyak... Hahah. Okayla, lembut la jugak. The mango chunks? No, they didn't come together in the packet (in case you're wondering). I cut out some fresh mangoes into small pieces and added them in together when I pour in the dadih mix. You have to boil water, sugar, and your susu Ideal first before adding in the instant dadih powder. It was my first time making dadih. So, yeay! One more new recipe for 2017! I targeted 10. Oh by the way, the initial plan was to make about 20 dadih in small containers for my husband to bring to his office for sedekah Jumaat. But since Sofia woke up already, I only made 14 small containers and 4 big ones like the...

Fruit cocktail jelly pudding (recipe)

Image
Another new recipe I tried in 2017! Ingredients : 10 g serbuk agar-agar (I use the Nona jelly powder, only 8 grams. Turned out okay je.) 1  tin buah-buahan cocktail 150 g gula kaster 650 ml air 250 ml susu cair (I use Ideal) How to: 1. Heat up the jelly powder, sugar, and water in a pot until the sugar melts; not necessary for the water to boil, as long as the sugar melts. 2. Pour in the susu cair. Let it boil. Yes, until mendidih then tutup api. 3. Add in the fruits. Make sure to drain them first. We only want the fruits. 4. Pour it into your jelly mould, kalau tak ada tuang je in any baking pan, like I did. I also pour some into tiny plastic tupperwares.  5. Let it cool for a while before putting it into a refrigerator. 6. Potong ikut suka and ready to serve! Additional information: I used a Red coloured jelly powder, added with the white susu cair, my jelly turned out a nice pink colour. I read up in one blog, she cut out the fruits ...

Banana plum ice cream (how to)

Image
I made ice-cream using bananas! (again, using Sofia's leftovers...) Sofia likes to eat bananas, so almost every week we'd get some for her. We would get her pisang emas because my mum said it's kurang berangin for her compared to pisang berangan. I accidentally bought pisang berangan the other day so yeah. Let's just make ice cream. The basic ingredients are: 3 bananas (cut and freeze solid) 1/2 cup of fresh milk 1 tsp of vanilla You can add in any fruits you like (but must freeze it first). I added in plums (again, Sofia's leftovers)... The fruits were supposed to be only 1/2 cup. I guess I added in too much plum, it turned out so masam! And oh, I added more milk (pandai-pandai sendiri) because the blender got stuck I guess it must be because of plum overload. Happy trying! (Selamat mencuba!)

Potato cheese balls

Image
My third new recipe for 2017!  Well, minus all the bubur nasi I prepared for Sofia. New jugak tu. Nasi chicken carrot, nasi chicken sweet potato, nasi chicken pumpkin, nasi ikan bilis carrot... Anyway, I used up Sofia's Russet potatoes to make then. Which then I regretted so much! Because it so happened that just at that time she was hungry and I only have secebis epal kukus. Geram. Because the potatoes were in the fridge for so long and just when I just added black pepper, salt, and flour to it, MASA TU LAH NAK MAKAN.... But it was my fault also. Secebis epal mana cukup. Should have at least left one cut of potato for her. Sofia crying for more food got me stressed and I ended up steaming all her apples and the remaining potatoes. (And ternyata she didn't eat them all pun, so I decided to make another batch of these potato cheese balls. But this time I left some for her.) Anyway, making this took me days. Yes, a simple recipe. One day to mix the potatoes wit...

Laksa sarawak my way

Image
"Tengok tu Sofia, mama tengah ambik gambar mi udang" And I gave him the look... It's not mi udang. It's LAKSA SARAWAK. Just that I altered it a bit. Okay lah I might altered it a lil bit too much. On the way to Sungai Siput, we dropped by at UTC Perak to change Sofia's diapers. Yeah it's always change Sofia's diapers. Nowadays jarangnya to eat or to have a drink. Since the nursing room was occupied, we decided to have a walk around. Sofia was more interested in our colourful umbrella though... Dah alang-alang singgah why not buy something for mum. There were a lot of local products like kerepek daun kesum and many other kerepek, but then I've always wanted to try cooking Laksa Sarawak. So I bought this Hj Manan Laksa Sarawak paste for about RM 6.50 kalau tak silap. The first time I tried eating Laksa Sarawak was in Seri Kembangan. Not in Sarawak. Oh, Laksa Sarawak Kak Yun yang sangat kaw dan sedap... Kak Yun is my colleague way back wh...
