Changes

Salam Maal Hijrah, 1 Muharam 1434 H. I'm feeling kind of emotional today... This college I'm staying in is very good, I must say. After Asar they recited the Doa Awal Tahun and after Maghrib they recited the  Doa Akhir Tahun, through the speaker. For someone like me who didn't know where to search for the prayers except through Google, it was really a great help. And I'm just so glad I ended up staying here :') (Though sometimes I feel bothered by the never-ending announcements...) It's a new year. Let's open a whole new chapter. Thing is, for the past few days I've been having more than 180 friends liking my picture on Facebook. I suddenly became famous! Hohoho... Well, I got the opportunity to appear in a local health magazine. It is a 2-page article just about me. Yes. JUST ABOUT ME. With a huge picture of me. With my full name. At the center of the magazine some more... Whoa! And so, being a normal person, I snapped a picture of the segment a...

Taking time out

Being the only daughter in the family, I grew up as an overprotected girl. Well, at least I think I am. So it was really a big thing when my mum actually gave me the permission to travel alone by bus from Kajang to Gua Musang. I took a 9.00 pm bus ticket, but of course, it didn't depart exactly at 9.00 pm. And arrived at around 3.30 am. I know it must have been hard for my mum to let me travel alone, but a promise is still a promise. I travelled alone. To Kelantan. Okay. Just imagine this. Even from Shah Alam to Bangi, she insisted on picking me up. Now, can you imagine KELANTAN. hoi. She promised to let me go off for a holiday if I worked hard enough. I still remember the day. I finished my final exam at 12.30 noon, and yes, exactly the same day, I took a bus to Kelantan. It was my second time going to Gua Musang. I went for an outreach, a tiger conservation programme. Two years ago, I joined the same programme. But now, I came as a different person. Along the way...

Having a boyfriend...

is so overrated. You wore something new, they said your boyfriend got it for you. You're smiling all day, they said you just met your boyfriend. You dressed up a bit, wore something nice, they said you're about to go on a date. You excel in your studies, they said your boyfriend motivates you. You gained weight, they said you have a good appetite... Because you're happy with your boyfriend. You lose weight, they said you just broke up. Or, your boyfriend motivates you to lose weight. I had on spectacles the other day. A friend of mine asked if my boyfriend got it for me. Duh...

Surviving LDR

Hi. I finally found the love of my life :) Which explains why I've been neglecting this blog... Ha-ha. LDR is a cool abbreviation for Long Distance Relationship .  I'm in the middle of it now. Well, sort of. We didn't stay far from each other. We're still in the same country; only an hour drive away but we're such a busy pair that meeting up once a month is even hard to achieve. I'd like to think of myself as having a long distance relationship. So that it wouldn't hurt to think 'We are so near yet so far!' (and cry) So... I believe that being someone who actually experience LDR, I think I'm qualified enough to give advice. Oh yeah. *ahem*  Presenting.... 3 THINGS TO CONSIDER IN A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP As long as we trust each other, things will be fine. Trust have to be built, though. Trust your partner and trust yourself to be loyal. Be loyal, behave, and always remember who you are.   It doesn't mean that when you are ...

It's The Finals, Again.

Hello, hello...! If you've been following my blog for quite some time, you'll notice that I have a post on the final examination for every semester. Like what I did for the first and second semester .  So, for this third semeste r, I'll be having 5 final papers: Introduction to Sport Biochemistry Motor Control and Learning Psychology of Sport Performance Physical Fitness and Wellness Nutrition for Sport Performance I also studied Mandarin this semester, but we finished everything up before the revision week already.  And oh! Speaking of Mandarin, we have to record a video so yeah, somehow all of us became actors and actresses. And I must admit I'm a really bad actress. But along the process of recording the video, I really had fun. I took Mandarin class with the Semester 5 seniors (oh yeah, a bit advanced), and though I wasn't really close with them but it turned out great, I believe. And knowing them leads to a very wonderful experience!  T...

VIVA Saya

viva voce -an examination conducted by spoken communication Well so we had our viva today (Tuesday) at the gym, for the subject Physical Fitness and Wellness . For a moment I hate the fact that my name starts with B .  I was the fourth person in line. We were divided into groups of 5. First Active warm up on treadmill All 5 of us on the treadmill at.the.same.time. Seriously, ALL FIVE at the same time. I actually have to voice out REAL loud in order to be heard. And it doesn't help either that the person next to you is doing lunges while you yourself are planning to start with a simple leg curl... Second Functional exercise Pectoralis major Calf Pectoralis major + calf muscle Now, create a functional exercise involving these two muscles. I was really nervous I couldn't think straight. I actually brought the tester for a walk first, from the weight training section   (Okay, here Sir) to the middle of the gym (Ha, it's better to ...

Know It All Yeah

The more you learn, the more you don't know. I was disqualified for the 100 meter breaststroke event during the inter-faculty sports competition (Sukan Antara Fakulti) ... Because I finished the race by touching the wall with only one hand .   The lifeguard said , "DQ" I was like, "DQ? DQ tu apa???" Disqualified. Thank you very much. "Oh... Eh kenapa?" "Sebab touch dengan satu tangan" "Satu tangan apa? Jap, jap... Tak faham. Tangan apa?" "Touch dinding mesti dua-dua tangan" "Eh? Masa bila?"  -.-" Honestly, I couldn't get what she meant about touching the wall with both hands. Such a novice... She had to explain in great detail, only then I understood. Hahah... At first I felt okay about it. It's okay it's okay... At least I participated. At least I was in the team. But as I thought it over. I'm a swimming instructor yet I DON'T KNOW the rules. That one poin...
