Letting Go

I have a problem of letting go of things. Suka sangat menyimpan barang-barang lama... I still have my assignments during diploma days, in which I already graduated from 2 years ago. Yes, I'm pursuing a degree now but this degree is a new field. A totally different field... I still have a folder in my laptop written 'DIPLOMA IN TOURISM MANAGEMENT'. I've decided to clean it up but I couldn't bring myself to clean it ALL up. It's taking a lot of disk space, I know... But it's just so hard to let go. I'm the type who like to reflect back at the old times. I like to look back and remind myself of the good ol' days. Sometimes for hours... And this is not good. Not good, I know. I'm actually detaching myself from the present, and even future. We should think forward, and reflect back now and then to remind us. Not look back and stay there, like what I'm doing now. So hereby I'm declaring that I'm deleting the diploma folder. But I...

Keluar exam awal

(Leaving the examination hall early) 5 years studying in university, I admit to leaving the examination hall early before time; not more than 5 times. But I admit to taking a nap during the examination quite a lot of times; more than 5 times. I don't know about you, but for most of my friends, and I, we would look up at those who leave the examination early. Like, "Hebat gila keluar awal.... Perggh!"  (toleh-toleh kepala ke belakang merelakan pemergian si hero/ heroin exam) Well, basically because you must be very confident of your answers, right? Right.  My teacher always advice us, back in the school days. Don't leave the exam hall before time. Always check, and check, and check your answers. And I believe in that. Because we are just human and human makes mistakes.  I certainly have no problem with these early leavers, except that I kind of got a bit psyched and annoyed when loads and loads of them started leaving. I'd think "Do I look st...

A pat on my shoulder

I received a mere pat on my shoulder by this one lecturer. When I first met her during our first class a few semesters back, I must say things didn't really start off nicely. Unlike most of us, I did a diploma in tourism before going for a degree in sports science. And this lecturer remembers me for that. She referred me as the tourism kid. And yes, once the lecturer know you, they will mark you. Mark, and pinpoint you. I'm sure all of you are aware that us tourism just don't learn about the energy system, ATP-PC, enzymes, and all those biological stuff. Well, she said that. And I felt humiliated and oh-so-down. Yes, us tourism don't learn those things but I'm here so instead of looking down at me why don't you support me??? She would always ask if I could understand the subject, because according to her tourism don't learn about these...  I have other friends who are in the same boat as I am; fine art, mass communication, IT. She would go, "Where...

Think like your momma

My female cat who is only a few months old is in risk of getting pregnant! Her name's Dompok. The name's quite ugly and a bit kampung -ish but trust me, she had long and fluffy furs just like those RM 3 000 worth cats. People wouldn't believe her mother is really her mother because the mother didn't have long and fluffy furs. We're just lucky, I guess. To get a RM 3000-worth looking cat. And I just have to name her Dompok. Hahahah.... Wanted to call her 'fluffy' but then it just sounded so spit -ful. Try saying 'fluffy, fluffy, fluffy...' See? The screen's splattered with spit already. Haha... The pedophile is my other cat, who is actually her uncle. The mother's brother. The male cat didn't have long and fluffy furs like her. So I thought no way, no way! I want her to be with the neighbour's cat, Muizah, who have long and fluffy furs like her. Baru setaraf.  Besides, she still haven't reach a year yet! And she's too sm...
