Wanna be famous no more.

Image
When I was a very young teenage girl , I had a very big dream. I wanna be FAMOUS. I wanted to be on magazine covers, attend big big popular events, be on tv, meet the rich and famous, hangout at all those poshy posh posh places, travel to amazing places and meet all those oh-so-important people... (Alaa... You know teenage girls, they always want to be like those pretty pretty women on tv, wear pretty pretty clothes...) But that doesn't mean I wanted to be a singer. Or even an actress. I wanted to be a tv presenter. A famous tv presenter. Just like Asha Gill, famously known as the host of Lonely Planet Six Degrees. Yes yes yes, I was influenced by this bubbly, outspoken tv presenter. So, after SPM, I did what I believe could help me achieve that dream. I applied to further my studies in Mass Communication. I went to the interview in a kebaya nyonya , though it was stated that only baju kurung was allowed. Eheh... Just to be different and get attention because I believe that the c...

My heart. And your heart. When it bonds together, miracle. Ah hahah... No no no, this is not a lovey dovey post. There's nothing related to those heart-feelings-emotion thingy... It's about the structure of the heart. Yes, the anatomy of it. You see, for anatomy class, we were taught to learn about the structure of each human body parts before knowing the functions. My heart And if you think this looks nowhere close to a heart, look at the lecturer's version. TA-DA! PETAK. Empat segi. The one thing I liked the most about this one lecturer is she always make things simple. She would past by me (rubbing off the left side of the heart and drawing it again, then rub off again) , and say "Kenapalaa susah payah sangat kamu ni..." (went to the whiteboard and less than 5 minutes, there you go, the structure of the heart). Just look at the way she drew the heart. The complex structure actually looked like 4 rooms only. And see, there's a door here, a pathway there....

Bukan Baywatch

Image
When I told people I'm a lifeguard, they would automatically say   "Oh... Macam Baywatch eh!"  And trust me guys, I know what you're thinking. And  imagining.  I'm only a swimming pool lifeguard. I don't go save people drowning in the sea. That, is what we call an  open water lifeguard .  And speaking of lifeguard, 30 people finally get themselves that title today. Yup, they passed the Bronze Medallion test. All of them! And 5 lifeguards actually achieved International Lifesaver. And... And... TWO other senior lifeguards achieved the Award of Merit! That was like the most ultimate super duper level, man!  *clap clap clap*  *clap clap clap* Okay... I really should have explain the lifeguard levels first, huh. Okay okay, there down here got picture meh. See? Award of Merit is like the highest, ultimate ever! I'm only an International Lifesaver... I hope to achieve Award of Merit before I graduated, though. Eheh. Once you get the Bronze ...

Cikgu Lifeguard

I'm trying to get myself a   lifeguard instructor  certificate. Okay to tell the truth I didn't intend to take that cert this soon (I'm only in the first semester... Like hello? I still got a long long way to go. ). But you see, I was given a chance. An opportunity . I felt really really really honoured because you see they actually chose to give me a chance. Budak part one yang masih baru ini. Uhuhuuu...  (Thanks Hazri!)  Well basically b ased on the fact that I always joined in their training and helped around willingly. Well basically because I love teaching so that's why I came to sibuk sibuk. For the past few months I've been teaching training teaching training my trainees to prepare them for the big test, the Bronze Medallion test. Which is exactly TOMORROW MORNING! Last night we had a pre-test . One of my trainees failed the chin-tow test. Her time was 3 mins 50 secs (It must be below 3 mins 15 secs) but I told her it was 3 mins 40 secs just to not let...

Stuck in a Lift.

Image
It was the last day of my friends here in college, and she just have to get stuck in the lift! Oh, by the way I searched for the meaning of elevator  (Well, elevator and lift is the same thing)   in Wikipedia  and here's what it said: An  elevator  (or lift) is a vertical  transport  equipment that efficiently moves people or goods between floors (levels,  decks ) of a building,  vessel  or other structure . Efficient? Efficient at certain times only, okay... Huh. I never really trusted Wikipedia to do my assignments anyway. Even at the zoo during my internship we're not allowed to use Wikipedia as a reference in completing our tasks. I hate this type of elevator. I'm scared of heights. Gayat. Kasihan Ruwaida... Kasihan Anis... Kasihan adik dan ibu Anis... They actually got stuck on their way down to the ground floor from the fifth floor. It was a lucky thing we split into two groups (My three friends and I went down fi...

Memories of a Sweaty Interview

The bad thing about having a blog : When you suddenly thought of something, you immediately switch on your laptop and start typing. For hours. ( Or does this apply to me alone?) Okay, my first paper is tomorrow morning and I still have two more chapters to go. Thank you very much. Somehow the thought of tomorrow's paper freaks me out. Thank you. Now I'm freaking nervous. Thank you. Which... Actually brought back memories of the freakingly sweaty interview I had on 18th April 2010 . It was a Sunday . Sweaty Sporty Sunday Shah Alam. This is not going to be a detailed what-I-did-at-9.37 AM kind of post, okay. Let's kiss. K eep I t S hort and S imple. 'Cos I'm timing myself. By 3.31 PM I should successfully disconnect , and connect back to my new found lover, buku anatomy . I just had to write about my interview session because I'm actually starting my VERY FIRST paper tomorrow! Can you believe it? Time flies so fast! Okay, okay, okay. Now I...

The End of First Semester

Image
No more classes. No more extra classes. No more replacement classes. No more quizzes. No more tests. No more assignments. *Phew!* I finally managed to survive the whole semester! Did you know that I actually studied Anatomy on my very first day? Yes, I did. Well I woke up early and immediately read the introduction part. Simply because I was nervous. VERY nervous, I tell you. I was so nervous that time that I actually trembled while flipping through the first few pages. I had to take loads and loads of DEEP DEEP BREATH before reading the first sentence. Yes, I was that nervous. Well... Just because I kept on thinking, How the heck am I going to remember all these scientific terms after THREE years studying management?! Like hello??? I even got a C for ALL my science subjects in SPM! ( Alamak . Now I just revealed how bad I did in my SPM...) Mak, I love you and that's the reason why I'm here. I'm willing to start everything from the first seme...
