Leaders lead

Been picking up and dropping off students this school holiday. A special exclusive programme by I Renang. Oh well. Leaders lead. Let us lead :)

My very first violin performance

Image
for Yamaha Season Concert. Well so I was very nervous. I managed to do one last run through for both songs; Heat Haze and Fiddle Time before leaving home to Yamaha. Couldn't perform the Titanium duet I planned with Tita as the Yamaha people said they need to cut the time short. And because of that also I have to play solo, without any music. Kosong gesek-gesek saja... Honestly I love to play Fiddle Time along with the music coz it sounded more funky and fun. But their over encouraging words made me trust myself to play solo. As in realllllly solo. I was informed that there would be another violist, a young girl. I was really hoping to see her. Well okay honestly not really. 50-50. I wanted to see other people play violin but at the same time the thought of a small girl might be playing better than me got me a bit anxious. Found a seat next to two teenage girls. The first few minutes I was asked my age already. The girls are 17 and 19. Ah man, reality creeps I'm not a...

Fingers hurtin'

Image
Violin and organ Titanium cover by Bash and Tita. Yamaha Concert on Sunday. My very first Yamaha Concert! One of my dreams... And now it came true. I've always been an audience for Tita and Chairin. Now it's my turn. My fingers are hurting... With every press on the string it feels painfull. A bit worried about Titanium... Especially the 3rd and 4th finger... Yesterday practiced from morning to Zohor with Tita the pianist. And Along Pinoi the guitarist. Both of them cool doctors. Really. I think they are cool doctors. They got their own style. Three days more.. Sehari ada 24 jam. Siang main, malam cuba hafalkan notes dan beat. Wuuuu.....!

MYCAT CAT Walk: THE WALK

Image
Part 3. The sooner I get it over with, the better. Because everyday is a new day and I don't want to be stuck in memories forever. (Whoa... Such a song lyric over there!)  THE WALK. CAT Walk stands for Citizen Action for Tigers Walk. At first I thought the purpose is only to find traces of poachers. But then Man explained that other than that, by doing this (jungle trekking), we are trying to show our presence to the poachers. Presence as in there are other people going in and out of the forest. So when there are people going in and out of the forest, this shows that they (illegal poachers) have a chance of being caught. Other than that, we also get to help MYCAT (Malaysian Conservation Alliance for Tigers) check the camera traps. Hehe... There are camera traps in the forest too, okay... Hehe... One of the best experience started just that morning. We (Tita, Siddiq, Audrey, and I) got to sit at the back of the 4WD. The wind gushing, rushing, going against our face. Certainly...

A year after graduation...

Image
And I still haven't finished paying my education loan aka PTPTN. HA-HA.. It was actually just yesterday that I told my student I just graduated. Fresh graduate, kononnya... And today. Reality strikes from Instagram. It has been a year! Thanks to the friend who made me realize a year ago on this date, 11th November, we had our graduation at DATC. "Dulu I used to boast that I wouldn't be very excited during graduation because I think I've achieved bigger things in life.. Mungkin sebab thesis, mungkin juga sebab peluh keringat mengangkat besi dan berlari-lari di padang. Entah.. Maybe after all the hardship.. Menitis juga air mataku di hari konvo. Sebak. Alhamdulillah.." Well these are the words I copied from my Facebook on the day I graduated. Because the feelings I have now might not be the same back then. I never really wrote in detail how I feel back then. OKAY. I might remember a few things. I remembered tears trickling down from the cor...

THE Nursery

Image
Yeah. This is THE Nursery. Siapa sangka di rumah teres ada kedai bunga macamni.  Remember the nursery I mentioned here ? Well, we went there again yesterday to get the new stocks she just uploaded on Facebook. There, at the nursery we met one customer who came all the way from Ampang. This nursery is in Selayang, by the way. And oh, just few days ago, a nursery owner from KEDAH came. KEDAH to SELAYANG.  Zoom in a bit at the entrance. Soils soils soils...  Here's a deeper view inside. See? It's totally a NURSERY!  This lady certainly put shame to those people with empty big lawns. At least, well, at least we could have planted vegetables, right?

My first four pots

Image
telah terjual! Makcik Min came just now and bought 4 pots of my japanese roses. Mum sold it for RM3 each. Flowers still hasn't come out, but she still insisted on buying.  Wah... Alhamdulillah. RM12. Divided it with younger brother, each got RM5 and RM2 goes into the gardening account. Why save only RM2? Because when you spend more for yourself you invest more on the business. Pulak dah? Hahah! Well.. Basically you must feel and indulge in what you get first, then only you are more motivated to work. Right? See the polybags. All those are japanese roses. The flowers still hasn't bloom but soon, yes, soon...

Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year

Perniagaan adalah mengenai orang, bukan nombor. So inspirational. Operating a company WITHIN a company. But remained true and honest by separating electricity used.

MYCAT CAT WALK- The Inn

Image
Welcome to Speleo Inn! I didn't take a picture of the surrounding but the entrance was located at the back of a row of shops. Yes... At the back of a row of shops. Where there are chickens and basically at the same row of the other shops' back door. We stayed at Speleo Inn for RM 25 per person per night. It was a two-storey inn. The guys' dorm is downstairs and the ladies' is upstairs. Okay. One more thing. We shared the toilet. There is only ONE toilet. Well, there's another outside but I don't think that counts... Sharing a toilet is one thing, having to wrap up and bundle up to go to the toilet is another thing. Because sometimes you might bump into the guys at the small living room. Felt a bit jealous of the mat salleh's who can just wait for their turn wrapped in a towel. The stairs leading up to the ladies dorm is cool, though. Spiral stairs. Very adverture-sy. Haha! It really has the ADVENTURE, BACKPACKERS style. There were already fo...

Lifeguard on Duty

Ever since I had to book the pool using my own name and my mother's Bronze Medallion Certificate, I felt a HUGE responsibility. Besides, the receipt also stated 'Tempahan KESELURUHAN kolam'. So basically all three pools belong to us I RENANG people from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm. Yeah, pool party.... NOT! It means that whatever happened in the pool during that time is our responsibility. So after being scolded by the big boss from being reckless and letting in public during that hour, we made a point that no matter what we MUST HAVE a lifeguard on duty. Well so yesterday I was the lifeguard on duty. One word. HOT. Two words. BLAZING HOT! BELECAK HOT! I had on my swimming jacket as an outerwear because I was supposed to go in the pool and exchange duties with another instructor. Happened that my students couldn't come so I was on duty for two hours wearing a swimming attire.  It was really hot I'd rather be inside the water. Aargh... Really, being in the wa...
